The San Antonio Project
San Antonio, TX

Born in Dallas and raised in the rural Central Texas town of Valley Mills, Cole is a Texas native. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Reformed Theological Seminary-Houston. Cole has spent his entire adult life being a part of church-planting. He was part of a church plant in Houston called Sojourn Montrose, where he served as a member, a lay leader, and a deacon, and was eventually hired as the Pastor of Teaching and Equipping, a role he held for over five years. In his eleven years in Houston, Cole met and married Anna, and together they have discerned a growing sense of calling to plant a Church in San Antonio, TX — Anna’s hometown. They, along with their son, Nathaniel (’20), moved to San Antonio in the summer of 2025 with the blessing of Sojourn Montrose. The Kirbys love baseball, fishing, good books, and time outdoors. Cole is currently rediscovering a love for golf and constantly feeding his love for Longhorns football. Cole serves on staff at Redeemer Presbyterian Church - San Antonio. He is in the process of transferring his ordination credentials into the PCA, homing in on a target neighborhood, and taking steps toward establishing a new Gospel work in the Mission City.
